Mathew Summers was appointed Professor of Psychology and Discipline Lead of Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2022.Mathew is an internationally recognised researcher in the field of aging related cognitive decline, mild cognitive impairment, and dementia. He has a strong research track record in the areas of early diagnosis, intervention and treatment of aging related cognitive disorders. He is collaborating with international research teams on innovative projects developing technological solutions and working in the development and application of artificial intelligence and deep machine learning solutions to changes in cognitive, physical, psychological and social function in aging adults.
