As CEO, oversee a staff of 140 including 6 doctors, 3 Nursing Supervisors, 80 nurses, 7 counsellors and 2 Physiotherapists. We also have 3 home care teams. Over the past 27 years BHT-Karunashraya has cared for over 26,000 patients until their last breath. The care is given totally free of charge.In 2021, thanks to an extremely generous donation from Subroto and Susmita Bagchi, we have embarked on another exciting journey - to build a 110 Bed FREE hospice in Bhubaneswar. Simultaneously, the Government of Odisha has generously provided 20 Acres of land at Infovalley II, on a 90-year lease, free of cost. The Government has also provided free of cost, 10,000 Sft of building space at Bhubaneswar to commence HOME CARE SERVICES pending construction of the hospice.The HOME CARE services were soft launched on 18th October 2021 and has already provided compassionate care to 56 patients as at end November 2021.It is envisaged that the 110 bed FREE hospice will be opened to the public before the end of 2023.
