I work on developing the next generation of point of care blood analysis systems.

I'm currently a teaching assistant for the faculty of Chemical Engineering at the University of Ottawa. During my graduate studies I have had the opportunity to perform a variety of teaching tasks such as: holding discussion groups, helping design projects and direct students completing these projects, mark homework, oral presentations, projects and exams. Throughout my graduate studies I have had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for the following courses: CHG 2712 Mécanique des fluides (French, taught twice), CHG 1771 Méthodes numériques et programmation en génie chimique (French, taught twice), CHG 2724 Principes et applications de thermodynamique en génie chimique (French, taught twice) and CHG 3111 Unit Operations (English, taught once).

My current work is focused on the development of novel and environmentally friendly polymer dielectric materials. My research involves characterizing the electrical properties of new dielectric materials being used in the fabrication of capacitors and thin-film-transistors, optimizing the sequential deposition of multiple organic and inorganic layers as well as analyzing the interactions at the dielectrics /semiconductor interface.

During my undergraduate studies I worked at the Makerspace where my roles involved teaching students at the University of Ottawa how to use FDM 3D printers, laser cutters and work with/programme Arduino PCB boards. This position involved hosting workshops on a weekly basis as well as supervising the lab and helping students complete both personal and academic projects. This position allowed me to develop both my teaching and public speaking skills alongside technical skills such as: 3D printing, laser cutting, programming and soldering.
