After studying philosophy, Mathilde Roman graduated Phd in Arts and Sciences of Art. Art critic, she’s treasurer of AICA International and member of AICA France (she won the special prize of the jury Aica France in 2014). Her research focuses on the fields of moving image, of exhibition studies and of performance. She is the author of two essays :"On stage. La dimension scénique de l’image vidéo", LEGAC PRESS, 2012. English version "On Stage, The theatrical Dimension of Video Image", Intellect&Muse, UK, 2016, preface by Mieke Bal"Art vidéo et mise en scène de soi" , L'Harmattan, 2008, preface by Françoise Parfait. She teaches at the Pavillon Bosio, Art &Scénographie, Monaco, since 2006. She publishes in scientific journals, participates or regularly organizes symposiums, workshops, seminars. She is also involved in various journals such as Mouvement, zérodeux, artpress, www.lacritique.org and contributes to exhibition catalogues (Eppur si Mueve, Mudam, Luxembourg, Portraits d'intérieur, on Laure Prouvost, NMNM, Monaco, Mehdi Meddaci, CPIF, Paris, Crossed Circuits, Centre Pompidou Meets MAM, São Paulo, Uraniborg, Laurent Grasso, Jeu de Paume, Milutin Gubash, MAC Canada, Video: An Art, a History, Centre Pompidou and Singapore Art Museum,...). She has conducted several curatorial projects in the form of video programming and collaborations (Eclat, Nice, Vienna Kunsthalle, RLBQ Marseille, galerie 3015 Paris).
