Currently working as an Investigator within Financial Crime operations, specifically the AML/CTF function. I am passionate about providing excellent customer service whilst proactively protecting the bank from of AML/CTF risks. Sound understanding of and with working knowledge in customer on-boarding, KYC/KYB, sanction risks, customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), ongoing due diligence (ODD), Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) 2002, Terrorism Act 2000, AML typologies and upcoming trends.Strong academic background in the engineering field has given me enhanced attention to detail, analytical, mathematical and modelling skills to be able to see the finer detail in cases without losing sight over the bigger picture; which is to provide excellent customer service with proportionate risk management.Process design and continuous improvement module studies with my first class degree has also aided in improving existing processes and leading projects to create new operational work streams. I was able to utilise principles such as Kanban and bottleneck to inventory management in my retail leadership role and when leading a team of specialists in the bank's quality assurance area to create sanction specific quality testing for the bank's on-boarding process in Stores.
