Joined as a graduate engineer trainee at Maruti after clearing an all India exam where more than 100,000 applicants applied and only 20 were selected. Helped setup a new R&D centre at Maruti. Led product management for one of the car series. Implemented 'New product introduction' process at Maruti. Gained expert knowledge into quality management, production, production engineering, vendor management, spare parts management, lean 6 sigma processes. Was instrumental in setting up a 'Tear down' lab for competitor analysis and sub-system costing of new products. Program managed implementation of a complex product lifecycle management solution for management of variant BOM, engineering change, release management and parts localisation management. This implementation won the best implementation award in the Asia Pacific region.
