I have the leadership and management responsibility for 10 officers; who have a wide variety of roles. My team focus on the council's commitment to work in partnership with local organisations, businesses and charities. I am the council’s lead officer on several high-level strategic partnerships, especially in regard to community safety, sports development and young people.I currently manage a budget of nearly £1million in addition to different funding streams (central and localised). I manage the borough’s response to the rise youth anti-social behaviour whilst working with colleges to closely manage our ASB strategy in the community. Assist in the coordination and management of Hertfordshire approach to reduce the impact of Countylines, Gangs and serious organised crime on young people. Over the past three years I have led the way by creating and delivering new projects and initiatives which has seen real progress in reducing the risk to young people being involved.I manage the council’s Sports Facility Strategy and implementation of that strategy by working with strategic oversight and the development partnership working. I have written and delivered the borough’s first youth strategy and action plan. The documents provided a framework for agencies to review their practices and provide direction and guidance on what young people need locally. This has so far produced an increase in partnership project work by 50% and increased the overall engagement of agencies in the area from 22 to 45. Through strong partners working with colleagues take responsibility for the improvement and development of the local economy especially our town centres. I have worked with local businesses to successfully sustain footfall through our economic hubs despite the national reduction in highstreet trading.

Oversee all sports development and facility programmes run by the council which currently includes a £450,000 project around the development of disability sport. I am the safeguarding lead officer and lead on youth programming and diversion strategies.I work with the borough's planning department to look at the impact on leisure and play provision by possible housing developments. During 2012 I was the principle point of contact for LOCOG with specific responsibility for the Olympic Torch Relay, which visited both towns. I took the lead for the Women's Tour in 2014 where Welwyn Garden hosted the stage four finish. For both events I project and event managed all aspects of the event. From volunteer recruitment and training, liaising with community about possible impact, worked with parking services and highways for road closures. I also took the lead on communications with title sponsors for the local part of the events and liaised with local and national media. I take the lead for the council's Queens Jubilee awards which are financial contributions given to gifted and talented young people based in the borough. I also event manage the council's annual sports awards which see over 300 sporting residents come together to celebrate a year of sport.As mentioned I run and manage all youth development and diversionary programmes that are funded by the council. This includes managing the boroughs summer programme on behalf of the partnership working with young people. I also manage the borough's youth council programme that sees the council engage with young people around the importance of democracy and the power of communal voice.As the council's lead office for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults I am responsible for the council's training programme, safeguarding policy and procedure. I also lead on contract management around safeguarding as well as work with the districts operational management group for safeguarding within Hertfordshire.

Successful recruited as the lead dignitary assistant for the Canadian Sports Minister. I was solely responsible for ensuring that they were in the right place at the right time, for interviews, ceremonies and specific sports according to their national interests.Through detailed planning and engagement with their head of transport, I managed to ensure that the minister saw 23 sports in total, and did not miss a single appointment.Through my understanding of event management and my keen eye for detail I was also provided the opportunity to assist as an admin clerk at different specific evening events prior and post the games through the London Organising Committee.

Development of Gosling International High Performance Tennis Centre, including its business output, community interaction and schools liaison.Main roles included finding sponsorship for both external schools programmes and internal development and elite player programmes. I am lead the schools programme going from 1 school to finishing with working with over 20. I managed the coaching programme for the whole centre ensuring that there were enough coaches on court and covering all sessions at all times. My other roles included some coaching of the fundamentals of tennis with younger children, administration of the schools programme, development of the sports development initiatives across the park.

I was voted into the role by my fellow students and given the responsibility to manage student sport for the university. The role was about representing students views on sport and encouraging more students to take part. I managed the universities 50+ different sports clubs and organisations, from the clubs looking at the elite end of the spectrum to those more about participation and enjoyment in sport. I had responsibility for making sure that students club fulfilled their fixtures in the national BUSA programme. I also helped develop the coach education programme to students enabling them to develop their sports by coaching their follow students with nationally accredited qualifications. During my time as VP for sport I was also the student elected representative for the entire South West consortium of universities on the BUSA board. Here I was responsible for making sure that the views of students were hear and ensuring that BUSA was committed to delivering the best student sport possible. Whilst in this position the University were second in the national merit table for sport, second only to Loughborough University.

I was given responsibility in several different areas of the school from the classroom, the boarding house and sports coaching. As a resident of one of the boarding houses I was responsible for ensuring that the pupils where safe, working hard and becoming well rounded educated pupils. This included doing nights duties, organising trips away at weekends, one to one tuition and helping with house tournaments and events. I was also assisting several students with their studies especially in Chemistry, PE and Maths. Throughout the year I was also helping with the PE programme and helping coach the boys u15 rugby side, the ladies 1st XV, helping with the squash programme and heading up the sailing team. During my year at the school I was also representing the local rugby side at U19, U21 and senior level. Through the year the U19 and senior side made the provincial finals.
