I oversee production and quality services teams at a pilot facility that produces a wide variety of high acid RTD beverages for customers ranging from start-up entrepreneurs to global companies in beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks. In addition to pilot productions, we provide outsourced quality testing and assist in formulations, production planning, and more.

I taught classes in chemistry, accelerated chemistry, and physical science to high school students.

I instructed general biology lab courses for Loyola undergraduates. The course was a general survey of biodiversity, introducing students to a number of concepts, and teaching lab techniques and practices.

My research involved the repeatability testing of a novel method of 3D shape capture for biological studies, and the application of the technique to a study of evolutionary history of bill shape. Processing, analysis, and visualization of data performed in R.

I worked as part of Dr. Sushma Reddy’s lab at the Field Museum studying the Vangas of Madagascar. Originally a weekly volunteer, I was given a full-time summer position. Working with museum specimens, I collected and analyzed biological data as part of a larger study. Funded by Provost Fellowship and an REU award from NSF.

As an undergrad, I worked as a TA for two sections of Ecology Lab in Loyola’s Institute of Environmental Sustainability. A major focus of the class was data analysis in R, which I helped instruct, grade, and and offered guidance on during office hours.

Working as the sole intern to Dr. Roberta Lammers, I worked on restoring a damaged wetland on the Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus. My main responsibilities involved the management of invasive species while retaining the integrity of the ecosystem. I performed research into management techniques and planned our course of action. I planned the monthly volunteer days and lead groups of volunteers throughout the day.

Working in the Milanovich Herpetology Lab, I went out twice a week with Dr. Milanovich to document dispersal of Ornate Box Turtles throughout Illinois prairies. I searched visually for turtles, used radio tags to track turtles, and interacted with turtle-sniffing dogs.
