Due to the seasonal nature of marquees, I work as site manager and team leader for Lulu’s Marquees throughout the year. This includes assessment of the site, engaging with the client, planning and co-ordination of staff, health and safety assessments, and maintaining the performance of the team on site whilst assisting with the build where necessary. I also train new staff on each part of the kit and equipment, including maintenance of, to ensure we continue a smooth operation throughout the summer where workload and staff turnover increases.

TeamMate has allowed me to constantly develop myself and due to being a relatively small company in terms of employees, my job role 'Project Engineer' is only an umbrella term for what I do day-to-day. I have extensively used my skills in leadership and customer service through project management, logistics and coordination with clients in our industry.

A COY 7 Rifles has been instrumental in developing me as a person and I have used my experience and skills gained to benefit my full time employment. I am really excited about the future for 7 RIFLES as we're currently training to be Armoured Infantry. This is a first for the Reserves and will open up much more opportunity when working with our partnered Regular Battalion, 5 RIFLES.

This included part-time work as a team member on the shop floor and within the warehouse replenishing stock, dealing with customers and stock deliveries.
