My experience involves previously working within the UK in London and now in Los Angeles, California. It covers a wide range of small and large scale international projects including mixed-use, aviation, residential, commercial office, urban master planning, sports and performance venues, and tall building design. My expertise involves working closely with real estate and property developers, creating design proposals for re-shaping cities and urban regeneration, towards obtaining planning approvals. My specialist skill set includes the application of parametric and computational tools towards forward thinking design concepts and the application of sustainability tools and processes. Architectural design and the built environment is now about inclusivity and responsiveness, integrating the strategies of interconnectivity and smart design to play a part in rethinking the way living spaces are created. I believe in the concept of transformable spaces that adapt to people’s ages, social and economic status, and personal preference. It’s about using the data, modelling and simulation tools within the design process to form buildings that are less dependent on machinery and more cognisant for the way human beings inhabit space.
