To take a lead role on all matters of Health and Safety compliance, with some Environmental support for the new expansion to the Bristol operational site. Ensuring the team is aligned with the businessobjectives and targets to ensure essential improvement.Supporting the Plant Manager and UK EHS Manager on all legal requirements, ensuring the businessalways remains compliant and audit ready, and, continuously improving. Influencing through visibleleadership to ensure a positive safety and environmental culture, with continuous improvementencouraged, and the sharing of best practices demonstrated.This role focuses on the completion of the expansion construction works and the commissioning of new equipment and processes, with a key to ensuring these activities are done safely and whilst connecting with the different stakeholders involved, including expansion teams and existing site teams.Promote a Zero Harm culture through identifying and encouraging best practice, live and breathe the SafeStart philosophy of behavioral safety.Being a contributor to all meetings and ensure that a collaborative spirit is evident at all times. Using EHS data to identify trends and opportunities whilst having a need to be flexible to meet the demands of urgent and unplanned meetings.

This new role has given me responsibility for the sites of Basildon, Meldreth (Cambridge) and Grangemouth (Scotland) to continue delivering EHS support including driving the Zero incidents throughout all the sites. In this role included the following:• Support the EHS Manager, EHS Team and Operational Management on all legal requirements ensuring the business always remains compliant and audit ready, and, continuously improving.• Influencing through visible leadership to ensure a positive safety and environmental culture is encouraged, continuous improvement encouraged, and the sharing of best practices demonstrated. • Support the upkeep of the EHS improvement plan and manage EHS related data through currentprocesses.• Be a contributor to all EHS forums and committees and ensure that a collaborative spirit is evident at all times.• Support the locations, the EHS Team and the wider business in its continualimprovement of EHS, including support on EHS Improvement Plans, projects,training, monitoring, SafeStart, simplification of EHS management systemdocumentation, Management of Change, Permits to Work and Contractor Safety• Work with Line Managers to improve Risk Assessments and Work Instructiondevelopment• Understand and assist in the implementation of Etex Standards• Be a representative of EHS during visits and inspections from regulatory bodies,Etex EHS (including Peer to Peer visits) and auditors (internal and external)• Support with the Contactor Management process, including completing inductionsand keeping the contractor register up to date• Support Training processes (identifying training requirements and supporting itbeing completed)

EHS Officer for Basildon site, assisting with compliance to our ISO standards of 9001, 14001 & 45001 on site, reporting any incidents/ near misses through our communicated portal, leading safety indicators on site and completing Risk assessments for all areas inside the building that demonstrated a risk to staff on site.
