Devoted to delivering Nomura’s RE strategy, enforcing and respecting its new brand guidelines and determining the key drivers and global service provisions for the Bank, his responsibilities include:• spearheading RE projects for new initiatives across the Region:- coordinating RE searches and evaluating the merits of properties to present to EMEA Board for final selection- Procuring and appointing local PM, and design & build contractors- Acting as sole client representative to local projects team - Ownership and accountability of the project financials- Responsible for the delivery of RE projects in Dubai, Geneva, Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna, Warsaw and Zurich• developing Real Estate guideline templates which include a tier system that describes the office size and M&E and IT infrastructure levels• ensuring that the “estate” complies with the Bank’s environmental policy/strategy (waste management and carbon foot-print)• mentoring and developing the team of 45 to realise and strive to deliver the Firm’s corporate and brand standards. Always acknowledging cultural variations to generate a “one team, one direction” ethos - 100% staff retention• introducing Corporate and Engineering Service Standards by playing a key part in the RFI/RFP studies, the interview process and selection of outsourced services for hard and soft FM • cost control analysis and development of cost saving initiatives across all service lines• formulating quarterly occupancy and market data reports for senior management

Responsibilities included:- a team of 12 country managers with a total team headcount of 60- introducing Service Standards across the entire Region- led team through a major restructure exercise in early 2008• financial accountability for all CS provisions• key advisor to the CRE projects team for new office fit-outs: Dubai, Istanbul, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Qatar, Geneva, Stockholm and Moscow • member of various working groups including corporate philanthropy and diversity and lead on the Continental Sustainability Committee• successful procurement, implementation and management of first ever outsourced solution specialists for the Continental and Middle East regions:- led successful contract negotiations, using in-house and external legal advisers- designed bespoke quarterly review reports to demonstrate contract’s effectiveness and value
