I have recently been working as an Optical Assistant at Scrivens Opticians. This has involved me quickly learning to work in an entirely new industry and undertake an intensive training course to get to grips with all elements of optometry and customer service within the optical industry.I work in the retail arm of the business where I deal with both spectacle and contact lens customers on a daily basis providing a professional and friendly service to help them choose the appropriate product.

As restaurant manager I was responsible for ensuring that all guests received the highest level of service, my front of house team were well trained and managed and the finances of the restaurant were accounted for on a daily basis.

Working on a freelance basis for 2 and a half years at McCann allowed me to take on a role working with Aldi Supermarkets across all aspects of their marketing mix developing campaigns for TV, press and digital. During this time I helped with a lot of the brand development work for Aldi’s sponsorship of Team GB for the Olympic Games and the implementation of their ‘Everyday Amazing’ brand campaign.

I began my agency career in London with a place on the Graduate Training Scheme at Triangle Group where I learned about the marketing industry and agency / client relationships. During ten years in the Capital I was lucky enough to work with a variety of agencies including Iris and Brand Fuel which developed me from an enthusiastic graduate to an experienced Account Director. A wide range of clients including Coca-Cola, Google, Zurich Insurance, Samsung and Travelodge allowed me to develop my skills across all elements of the marketing mix as well as strategic, financial and people management.
