    My partner and I co-brokered one of the largest, international food trade deals that 6-generation, family-owned and operated, Bassett's Ice Cream Co (HQ'd in Philadelphia) has been involved with. Due to Bassett's Ice Cream's success in selling and working with a Chinese distributor in Beijing since 2007 into 2008-present, it led to me to introducing and brokering a deal between Bassett's and a Korean Holding Company who designed Bassetts Cafes and ice cream dipping parlors in South Korea. They began in the capital of Seoul and spread throughout the country to second-tier cities such as Daegu and Daejeon. During the Covid 19 Pandemic, there was a sharp decline, due to brick-and-mortar stores struggling, however, this regional competition in China and South Korea fueled an opportunity for Bassetts to enter the Taiwanese market and have continued and consistent success in the East Asian market.

    I created a US-based international teacher recruiting company from the ground up (starting in South Korea). We specialized in placing native English-speaking teachers in foreign countries. I acted as a liaison between teacher recruits and schools abroad to expedite all legal requirements to work in each specific country, while establishing programs to assist teachers with assimilation and support abroad. My key accomplishments included my ability to seek and establish customer relationships with over 30 school programs, in 7 foreign countries. I successfully placed approximately 70 full time teachers in these countries, over two recruiting seasons. We also developed an interactive website with all necessary content and navigation tabs to assist in recruiting, with interactive tools. This allowed pre-placed recruits to track their progress in completing the required background checks, legal requirements and put them on the correct path to starting their new job. Most enjoyably, we gave our schools and teachers the ability to view one another's profiles transparently, viewing videos profiles, as well as pictures and content. Along with consulting teachers about the process of teaching abroad, I authored a concrete plan called, "The Teach Abroad Plan" (TAP) to give teachers a manual for how to transition most effectively, with 5 Modules to follow. We also planned and held the first, "Teach Abroad Virtual Fair": https://www.careereco.com/Fair/EventDetails?fairId=fd88fdca-b617-4b0e-b7e8-a4b10172d5c3. It was the first ever virtual fair for overseas teaching and provided schools with inexpensive alternatives to attending costly international job fairs. Instead of incurring the cost of travel, management time away from the school and more, we enabled schools to purchase an "online booth" whereby they could interact with teacher prospects in a real time setting, from their office. Our first event attracted 12 schools and over 400 teacher prospects.
