I am a dynamic and highly motivated engineering manager with a broad skill set honed throughout a 22-year career as an aircraft engineer in the Royal Navy. With broad knowledge of various roles with DE&S and a proven track record of managing projects and delivering high-quality results on time, who combines a subtle sense of humour and effective emotional intelligence to have a positive impact on those around him and to encourage teams to attain their maximum potential. I also have considerable expertise dealing with aviation asset management information systems like as GOLDesp and operating within a well structured quality management system.In my current role contracting within DE&S in partnership with AACE Ltd, I deliver technical support services to the Remote Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Watchkeeper Delivery Team (DT). Some of the services I have provided to DE&S so far include: technical support, communication planning & delivery, project through life support, business case development & progression, change management and some project management.In my previous position as Technical Manager, I've analysed various work systems to discover deficiencies, then engineered them to improve processes and become more efficient while remaining compliant with current policies. Strong problem solving skills, the capacity to communicate effectively at all levels of an organisation, and a dynamic leader who is equally at ease working alone or in teams are all crucial talents I’ve shown. I have a solid technical understanding of engineering supply and reverse chains, as well as how they influence forward asset availability. Some of the system improvements I’ve been responsible for are:• Reduced aircraft asset rejections by over 70% by strengthening procedures and policies.• Implemented an additional tier of asset quality checks, which reduced the rate of poor quality occurrences by more than 80%.• By developing and introducing a new application expressly for demanding tools, we were able to significantly reduce the lead time for all Air Station tool requests.
