About Matt Hunter

I am a long-time educator of unique experience who is obsessed with student outcomes. I have worked across the entire spectrum of education, teaching at the middle school level, years working across Pre-K -12 reading and math edtech, specializing in reading and math intervention, and working in Higher Ed program management in undergraduate, graduate and continuing education. My main passion is student outcomes, but I know that achieving and exceeding those outcomes is only done through thorough collaboration, extensive listening and data-driven explicit planning. But all of that has to be supported by well thought out, tested principles that include a commitment to DEI. And I know that changing outcomes for the better, especially with statistical significance, is extraordinarily hard work.I have managed large implementation and support teams as well as cross-functional teams of product, marketing, sales, customer success, and tech/engineering leaders to launch, optimize, and scale programs with partners. I have managed operational budgets as large as $15M and was responsible for direct revenue of up to $80M. Most importantly, throughout my career, I hope to be helpful in working together to solve education's most urgent problems.Interesting aside, if you google Matthew and Hunter islands, you will see two uninhabited islands not too far from New Caledonia and Vanuatu. I do not own those.
