With extensive experience in the efficient design and construction of high-rise buildings, having recently worked on Queen’s Wharf, 300 George St Brisbane, Jewel on the Gold Coast, Beach Hotel Broadbeach, 1 William Street, Rhapsody and Newstead Towers.Education and training also covers financial and management courses and experience in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects. This has lead to sound leadership skills and combined with solid technical knowledge provide a rounded approach crucial to the success of large and complex engineering projects.Matt spent six years working in the Middle East on various landmark projects in the region and also in the UK and India. These projects include Burj Khalifa (160 Stories and a 230m steel spire structure), Pentominium (120 Storey residential building), efficient slab designs for D1 Tower, Fujairah beach resort including joint-less construction of the 400m podium slab eliminating the need for expensive building joints, foundation system redesigns on the 50 storey tower at the prestigious St George development in London helped the client save £400k and the Rotana Hotel in Amman Jordan saving over $2 million on the piling package.Matt's Australian experience includes innovative buildings in Sydney, Melbourne and Southeast Queensland, including the 35 storey Wave building in Broadbeach. Previous to that while in Sydney he worked on the Meriton World Tower in Sydney and performed a design review of the 40 storey commercial building at 50 Lonsdale St, Melbourne.Specialties: Design Management, Structural Engineering, High-rise buildings, Advanced Foundations, Value Engineering.
