In late 2020, I transitioned to a new role as a Freight Operations Supervisor where I direct the shipping distribution of heavy freight loads. I oversee the work of 40 dock workers while monitoring production goals, operational efficiency, and FMCSR/OSHA/DOT compliance. In order to be successful in this role, I strategically plan both inbound and outbound deliveries, driver routes, staff scheduling, and loading dock logistics. This position allowed me to gain new skills as it relates to supervising dock workers driving forklifts, efficiently loading heavy freight into trailers, dispatching, and direct LTL customer interactions. While I have not been in this role long, I have been able to assist in the accomplishment of increasing trainer tonnage on outbound operations, and I have consistently met my goals across categories including weight, tonnage, cube, and payroll.

My career with FedEx began in 2016 as a Courier where I made deliveries to 120 stops on an average day. In 2018, I was selected to complete the testing and training necessary to become an Assistant Operations Manager (Team Lead). In this role, I assumed expanded leadership over the distribution center and staff. As the Assistant Operations Manager (Team Lead), I drove productivity, executed process improvements, and ensured efficient personnel utilization across all aspects of operations. In this role, I empowered and motivated 70+ staff, trained new hires, incentivized employees, and fostered relationships as a team leader. On a daily basis, I evaluated inbound operations (12K+ packages per shift), forecasted sortation completion, and optimized workflow to guarantee on time deliveries.
