Executive in Ernst & Young's Financial Services Advisory practice, specialising in Advisory for Capital Markets clients. Previously spent two years on Ernst & Young's Advisory Consultant Programme. Projects include:Global universal bank AML programme.Matt lead a workstream to identify correspondent banking activity taking place between the bank’s global affiliate population and coordinated the creation and distribution of KYC profiles for each transacting affiliate for signoff. This included creating detailed guidance and managing communications between over 70 countries.Global investment bank AML review. Matt worked as part of the 10 man transaction monitoring workstream, focusing on the EMEA region. Matt conducted interviews and walkthroughs staff from all areas of the bank's transaction monitoring programme. Matt delivered both positive and negative observations and produced large sections of the final report, including recommendations for the bank.Global universal bank AML client onboarding programme.Matt worked as part of a team of the 10-man policy team. Matt assisted in policy drafting, client due diligence modelling and risk assessment modelling. Matt designed the Ernst & Young Anti-Money Laundering Control Framework, used to determine scope and best practice controls. Matt further developed the framework to incorporate recommendations from the FSA and recent penalties.

Three month secondment at FinTech SME lender iwoca, where I led the development of the customer contact strategy, setting out the minimum level of contact that all customers should receive. Main objectives were to improve flow along the customer journey and ensure all customers are contacted at the right time to deliver maximum impact and the best possible customer service.Project included mapping out customer journey, creating KPIs, identifying improvements (including automating processes) and mobilising initiatives to deliver the required changes.
