CurrentArchival digitization & preservation of highly valuable, historically significant, rare, irreplaceable and often fragile audio assets, with knowledge & experience of a wide variety of legacy carriers, their preservation & care, including: grooved shellacs, nitrocellulose lacquer, flexi-discs, vinyl discs, wire recordings, dictabelts, cartridge-based audiotapes, sprocketed mag-film recordings, consumer & professional open-reel audiotapes, digital audiotapes & born-digital media.Notable digitization projects include:• 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 (𝗞𝗟𝗥𝗨): Digitized & preserved thousands of original, two-inch, half-inch and quarter-inch audio master tapes as well as hundreds of DTRS, DAT and optical formats, spanning over 40 years of original recorded content. Master recordings include Willie Nelson, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, Ray Charles, Tom Waits, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Loretta Lynn and hundreds more.• 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗝𝗿. 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: Oversaw preservation & digitization of The King Center audio archive, consisting of thousands of historically significant, open-reel tape, audio cassette & grooved media recordings. Recordings include personal recordings of Dr. King and his family, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) and more.• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗢𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Digitized hundreds of historic shellac, nitrocellulose lacquer & vinyl discs requiring extensive cleaning, repair and digitization considerations due a wide scope of disc ages & conditions. Recordings include original masters for Louis Armstrong, The Boswell Sisters, Glenn Miller, The Dorsey Brothers and more.
