I have been an LPN for 16 years. My nursing experience ranges from ventilation and the geriatric population with high acuity needs to pediatrics with suturing and ortho experience. Worked 2 ventilator units as a charge nurse, handling many wounds, IVs, Tube Feedings and Respiratory needs for approximately 5 1/2 years. I worked as an LPN Suture/Ortho nurse at a Childrens Hospital. My job there was performing suturing of all levels from basic to complicated with layered closures. Also performed casting and splinting of patients and assisted Orthopedics in reductions. Served on the education committees for the Suture Ortho Group and also on the Needle-stick reduction committee for the hospital in its entirety. Served as a preceptor for our group for almost 5 years of the 7 1/2 I was there. Also taught residents and fellows suturing skills and casting skills as it is an educational hospital. Worked in a CVS Minute Clinic close to home for approximately a year and a half before joining Community Surgical Supply as a DME Sales Representative providing high acuity respiratory equipment to meet the demands of our patient population who are picking to go home more and more over facilities. I have now grown to include more hospitals into our company for business and hoping to continue growing it over the years as I establish relationships with the doctors and case management teams to provide care for those going home.
