With my contract with Webe at an end, I chose to take on a different challenge for a while.Having learned that Sainsburys has a large range of training schemes (plus apprenticeships and other NVQs) available I felt that taking advantage of these opportunities would widen my skill set.Since starting work there, I have completed a City & Guilds course in catering and hospitality. I also joined a development group with the goal of completing team leadership training. I am also looking to complete additional nationally recognised courses in parallel.The work that I do is regularly praised both by management and customers, which has led to more responsibility being placed on my shoulders. This has ranged from training new members of staff in various roles around the café to being senior member of staff during evening service and closedown (along with the associated administrative duties).

Currently working on a freelance basis creating and supplying client artworks to required criteria. Ranging from flyers and business cards to event programmes and websites.

Involving the creation of graphical artwork for the branding of a client's business. This includes websites, business cards and stationary, as well as any advertising flyers and magazines required by the client. This involved loading with the client and working with them to create the design that they need.I also designed and created in-house graphics and printed sales information as well as the interface skin for the software.During this period I underwent extensive training in team and project management. I also gained valuable knowledge in multiple fields of technology.In addition to my role as a graphic artist, I am now in charge of training and supervising an apprentice graphic artist and a web builder in the use of the software and expanding on a basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and increasing their knowledge of computers and technology.I am also training the new starters in general administration and office skills. I also encouraged them to push themselves and to always strive for the best that they can do and aim to instill self motivation and the ability to work together towards to a common goal.

My initial role was to begin documenting the system in a rough guide as to how it operated while assisting with naming conventions on input fields and system text on the interface.This role soon grew more expansive to include authoring detailed, illustrated, instruction manuals for each element of the system. These I prepared using Adobe InDesign in two formats with the aim of one going to print and one for online output via PDF download.These manuals were also written as online help files. They needed to convey the most information for users of the software while working, using the minimum of characters due to space and readability constraints. So, I had to edit and summarise the documentation to meet these criteria.
