As an operation supervisor I was responsible for managing a team of 20 direct reports. I was responsible for managing an operational unit of Recovery Specialists that provided recovery and reimbursement services for the Emergency Room Physicians for the nation’s largest ER Physician’s Groups. My team was responsible to deliver accurate and timely billing to responsible insurance carriers as well as third party liability cases. With the streamline processes my team implemented, our clients were able to decrease their revenue cycle time and avoid claim spoilage, which generated a total recovery of over $50M. This generated an estimated $10M in revenue. In addition, I was responsible for the build out of the product line, facilitated capacity planning models, and performed all hiring functions throughout all positions in the department. I was also the Chairperson of the Wellness Committee from 2011 to 2013.

I supervised a Customer Service Team in a 120 person call center. The call center takes about 2.5 Million inbound and outbound calls per year on average. My responsibility was managing 16 Customer Service Representatives which included training, monitoring of performance through GMT Work Force Management software, and Nuasis voice over internet telephone system and reporting. In addition to my management responsibilities, I was responsible for Quality Assurance Reviews with clients. My team’s highlight accomplishments were decreasing the average call times to less than three minutes per CSR, meeting and exceeding expectations of the average speed to answer, and maintaining excellent client satisfaction and service level agreements. Finally, I believe recognition is a driver/self -motivator and it allows collaborations to thrive together, so I became Chairperson of the Employee Recognition Committee for 11 years.

In my position as Team Leader I was responsible for adjusting subrogation claims for all major healthcare clients. My responsibilities consisted of making outbound calls, negotiating, and handling complex billing reviews for accuracy. Managing over 700 files on average with $3.5M in backlog for the client base, I supported in rejecting and closing of subrogation files for my immediate supervisor. I also trained new associates, and approved salaried and hourly employees timesheets. My biggest accomplishment was when I was able to recover over $14M in recoveries claims, and have been able to maintain my Independent Adjusters License in the state of Kentucky to this date as well as required CE hours.
