After completing a mechanical engineering apprenticeship, I joined Technical Sales International as a sales engineer in 1989. TSI is a manufacturing representative company in the UK and I specifically handled high shear mixers from IKA Germany for the UK and Irish markets. In 1995 I became a partner in TSI and my portfolio covered all types of process equipment from vessels, filter, dryers and mixers for both liquid and solids.In 1999 I joined the Romaco Group. There I was responsible for the FrymaKoruma range of liquid and semi-solid vacuum processing plants for the UK and Ireland. Then in 2001 I had the opportunity to join Sonic Corporation in Bridgeport, Conn., USA. Based at their facility at Bridgeport, I was responsible for the sales department.In 2002 I came back to the UK and joined Silverson Machines Ltd as European Sales Manager. My responsibilities were to oversee all the European representatives handling everything from technical and commercial inquiries to replacing and hiring new representatives as necessary. My role was further developed to include territories such as the UK, Middle East and the Indian Sub continent sales teams. The role also included developing key accounts. In 2008 I became Sales Director.My goal going forward is to develop Silverson Machines so it is the first or second high shear machine manufacturer by market share in all our strategic markets.
