I am a passionate package engineering manager in the medical device industry. I believe in balancing choices between the enterprise, regulatory requirements, and most importantly patient safety. I utilize my years of experience in packaging design and development, NPD cross-functional team support, design for six sigma, process development, sustainability, test method development, and team building to create a collaborative, exciting, inviting, and safe environment for my team(s) to support our function and the business at the highest level. I am dedicated to ensuring patient safety is always number one in our decision-making process, while ensuring an equitable balance between the needs of the business and regulatory requirements. My team's engineering foundation is deeply rooted in an in-depth knowledge and understanding of ISO 11607-1/-2. We strive to define and outline the ISO requirements at their fundamental levels to ensure we can meet the true intent of the standard and provide efficient and effective packaging designs and processes. I enjoy sharing my passion for the medical device industry and sterile barrier packaging with anyone willing to listen, but most importantly with my team to help them develop into the best packaging engineers they can be and with the hope they will get the same joy and satisfaction out of their careers as I have been fortunate enough to achieve.
