Virginia Tactical Medical Association was formed in 2011 with the intention of connecting those that support law enforcement special operations teams by providing pre-hospital medical care in austere environments.

As director of EPIC, Mr. Watson consults with public safety agencies on developing programs and resources to deal with Active Shooter events, mass casualty incidents, and emergency procedures.

Supervisor in charge of the Self Defense Unit, which is responsible for training personnel traveling to overseas assignments in self defense techniques. Conducts defensive tactics training for protection agents and in-service training in combatives and ground fighting.

Plans, organizes, manages, and provides basic and advanced tactical instruction and other related anti-terrorism topics for both domestic and overseas programs in all environmental conditions (indoor and outdoor). Tactical topics include defensive tactics, room entry tactics, vehicle and helicopter operations, land navigation, small unit tactics, emergency rope operations, intermediate weapon certifications, tactical communication, map reading, basic rotary wing aircraft operations, urban warfare operations, emergency medical care, basic and advanced marksmanship applications, computer simulated rules of engagement training, live fire and simulated attack scenarios, personnel recovery, protective operations and tactics, basic and advanced anti-terrorism tactics, techniques, and procedures

Plans, organizes and manages the presentation of firearms training courses. Reviews established training objectives, lesson plans, training materials, and instructional methods prior to the beginning of assigned courses. Researches and reviews current intelligence related to the diplomatic security mission and introduces applicable information into firearms training courses. Resolves problems that occur in the preparation for and during training. Evaluates training effectiveness to ensure that training objectives have been met.Complies with all FLETA accreditation standards. Complies with all DS and FTU policies, procedures, and standardsReviews and analyzes trainee evaluations, feedback from instructors, and personal observations. Identifies need for revision to course content and materials or instructional methods as necessary to improve the firearms training curriculum effectiveness and quality. Evaluates the impact of planned or projected changes in DS security programs and associated training requirements on the existing content, materials, and methods used for firearms training.

Teaches the Israeli self defense system, Krav Maga.

Tactical Team Trainer and Sniper

Department of State certified instructor in Firearms, High Threat Protection, and Medical Courses.

Created a new civilian police force to enhance the military police force at Marine Corps Base Quantico. Instruction in every facet of law enforcement, defensive tactics, patrol, tactics, investigation, etc. Provided continual training to the military police stationed at MCB Quantico. Created an Urban Sniper Course and Operator Basic Course for Marine Corps Special Response Team (SWAT) stationed at MCB Quantico.

Responsible for investigating violent crime. Designed and taught Active Shooter Training for patrol. Operator / Sniper on department SWAT team. Training coordinator for department SWAT team. Liaison/Instructor for Tactical Medic Unit assigned to department SWAT team. Member of regional tactical Clandestine Laboratory Eradication Team.

Patrol deputy. Created and led the Rapid Deployment Team (SWAT), a tactical team of deputies trained and equipped to deal with high-risk situations. Tasked with setting up security protocols for target areas of county after 9/11. Designed school reaction plans for active shooter scenarios.

Supervised ten soldiers and an armored medical aid station (552 armored personnel carrier) for combat medical treatment. Organized and instructed an advanced first aid course to 30 non-medical soldiers (Combat Lifesaver Program).

Assigned as a member of a multinational peacekeeping force that maintained relations between Israel and Egypt. Flight medic in support of eleven nation Multinational Force and Observers. Performed as a crewmember with a 24hr aeromedical evacuation mission. Organized and instructed an advanced first aid course to foreign contingent personnel. Instructed State Department personnel in CPR and First Aid. Provided lifesaving treatment to both civilian and military personnel. Trained Egyptian doctors in pre-hospital emergency medical skills. Conducted non-training missions into Israel and Egypt.

Medical NCOIC for a Headquarters and Headquarters Battery with the mission of rapid worldwide deployment. Responsible for health of 120 soldiers during field operations. Created and implemented an advanced first aid course and successfully trained over 100 non-medical personnel. Secondary duty as the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Sergeant, charged with maintaining NBC equipment and training soldiers on its use.
