We invested heavily in continuing to expand our knowledge base, and in doing so shifted the practice more to business advisory, tax, self-managed super funds, and wealth management, rather than simply crunching numbers. As the business grew, we opened a second office in Canowindra and in 2019 merged CKC Accountants with Mike Crowley & Associates, scaling our resources and capabilities to deliver what local people need of us in the years ahead. As Employee Relations Officer had oversight of payroll and all the conditions and awards of the 300 employees. When the local site closed I had the difficult position of communicating the news to everyone - witnessing the impact to the local community re-affirmed for me the importance of planning for the future.
