- Currently the Technical Lead Manager of the Edmunds Ad Solutions (EAS) team. I oversee 2 onsite developers and 4 offshore developers, with our primary goal of publishing ads for dealers onto third party platforms.- My primary focus is career developer for the onsite developers, making sure the work requests from the product managers are done in a timely manner, unblocking the developers, and making sure that the tasks are clear and unambiguous.- Currently working on improving the overall infrastructure and standardizing the system.- EAS uses Java, Scala, Python, Databricks, PostegreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.

- Lead the Lead System Engineering (LSE) team whose primary goal was to deliver leads from edmunds.com to our dealer partners. Oversaw 2 other developers, and we used Java, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DocumentDB, AWS, Databricks, Kotlin in order to deliver leads in a timely manner.- Lead the LSE team in a rewrite of the lead delivery platform. The focus was on ease of maintenance for the developers, which included streamlining the transformation process and providing metrics and dashboards from the day of launch. This system is currently in production and can deliver a lead in less than 2 seconds.

- Individual contributor on the Accurately Described Inventory team. This team was in charge of getting accurate information regarding a vehicle in an accurate and fast manner. Used Java, Tomcat, solr, Hadoop, and MapReduce in order to accomplish our goals.- Individual contributor in the Dealer Ingestion System team. This team was in charge of consuming inventory from dealers and transforming the data into Edmunds' canonical structure. Used Java, Scala, Hadoop, and MapReduce in order to accomplish our goals.

- Was an individual contributor of a scrum/agile team working that used ASP.Net MVC 5, Entity Framework, Ninject, MSTest, and MS SQL Server to create a website that allows people to purchase laboratory tests on their own.

- Rewrote an application that tracks the messages as they flow through the integration engine. This application used MS SQL Server to store the messages in a simple table, SOLR to index the messages, and Java Network Launch Protocol (JNLP) to serve users the front-end application.- Created a GUI that helps IT determine the health of a queue or topic by displaying the metrics in real-time. This used MS SQL Server to store the metrics for each queue, JNLP to serve the front-end application, and a graphing library in Java to visually show the user the status of the queue or topic.- Worked on finding a replacement for the existing interface engine, which involved research, prototyping and contact with vendors.- Found a replacement for the engine that used a cluster of GlassFish application servers and a cluster of ActiveMQ message brokers, with Apache Camel as the messaging component. The solution was able to wrap the existing eGate and JCAPS code and host it in the Glassfish applications servers.

- Oversaw 8 developers. Each developer worked on many unique sites at a simultaneously, each requiring its own code and customization.- Responsible for hiring developers, making sure they met goals and timelines, and for conducting their annual reviews.- Worked with project management to create documentation for site development.- Introduced Jira for issue tracking. This helped better organize the developers by giving them a clear list of tasks to accomplish.

- Trained members of the team how to use our API.- Implemented policies regarding code structure and use of revision control.- Introduced Maven in order handle the growing complexity of our API, which streamlined the creation and maintenance of projects.- Lead developer for an application that monitored the status of servers and application servers. The application was then capable of sending alerts in various forms to specific staff, based on the nature and severity of the alert. The application was written in Java 1.5 and deployed onto GlassFish application servers.

- Used the eGate interface engine, which used Java 1.3 and MS SQL Server.- Helped create, develop, and maintain the code that allowed laboratory messages (HL7) to flow between our clients.- Worked directly with clients and internal teams, gathering requirements and specifications.- Developed a monitor for eGate that restarted the services if memory reached a certain threshold.- Helped with the development and coding of the framework for the Java Composite Application Platform Suite (JCAPS), the next version of eGate. This used Java 1.5, JUnit, MS SQL Server, and the Eclipse IDE.- Created client specific code in JCAPS for each client. Worked with the clients and project management in order to have the code done on time.
