Including a focus on product safety and chemical emissions reduction of our UV curable inkjet printers. Close collaboration on joint projects with parent company in The Netherlands.ISO14001 Management Representative - Implemented ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System at ODGS, raising the ranking of ODGS from close to the bottom of Canon Manufacturing companies worldwide to the top 10. Successfully completed the external SGS audit at critical time when a project was cancelled and staff reductions were taking place the same week.

Managed the start of a key international product development for a new printer platform incorporating significant technology advances. Developed a simpler back-up alternative solution to the project that had a much higher chance of success in achieving aggressive timelines with limited resources.

Formed my own Ink Systems Team of Mechanical Engineers and Chemists to develop and support the ink delivery system on our printers from the bags used for the ink to developing alternate formulations of ink with our supplier in the UK and handling the product safety and performance issues.Revolutionized the way we did chemical emissions testing on our printers. Previously the printers had to be sent to Europe for testing which consistently added months to projects and left little room if a problem was discovered. By developing a solution where we could test in-house we were able to significantly speed up projects, carry out testing much earlier, iterating on designs in order to improve and save hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Designed improvements on laser based wide format photographic printers. Developed entire ink delivery system on our first flatbed inkjet printer. System included pumps, chemical resistant flexible tubing, Igus tracks, vacuum and pressure system, pneumatics, automated printhead maintenance, sensors, IR lamps, sheet and machined metal design (using SolidWorks). One of my talents is my ability to make complex designs simple. Simple designs cost less and are more reliable. Some of the printers we built in 2006 had an expected 7 year life span and are still in use today (2018).Design on follow-on products included developing revolutionary ink bag concept with embedded RFID detection in custom injection moldable couplings. - Co-ordinated global release of ink bags – ink bag couplers from the US, bags assembled in Germany, bags filled, programmed and packaged in the UK.

BCRPA Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Developed my own group fitness training program and ran lunchtime group fitness classes at a gym near my workplace. Training classes included Spin, Strength, High Intensity Training and Stretching. Classes were also attended by some of my colleagues.
