I am the Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Remitly Global, Inc., a trusted provider of digital financial services that transcend borders, where I lead the company’s public policy and government affairs strategy. Before joining Remitly, I was a Manager of Public Policy at Amazon and worked on issues related to payments, innovation, and the emerging regulatory landscape. Prior to Amazon, I served as the Head of Financial Services Policy at Notarize, a fintech startup, where I advocated for solutions to advance digitization in financial services.With over a decade of experience in the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government, I am an expert in consumer finance and banking policy. I spent over nine years at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in various leadership roles, ultimately serving as the CFPB’s Assistant Director for the Office of Stakeholder Management, which acted as the Bureau’s liaison to elected officials, consumer advocates, and industry to gather input, build partnerships, and inform its work. Before my tenure at the CFPB, I worked in the personal office of a senior member of Congress from California and began my career as an intern for a U.S. Senator from New York.In addition to my professional roles, I am deeply engaged in shaping the future of financial services policy and have published opinion pieces in American Banker and MarketWatch. I serve on the boards of the Exchequer Club of Washington, DC, the Money Services Business Association (MSBA) and the Financial Technology Association (FTA). I am also a member of the Milken Institute’s Fintech Advisory Council.I received my master’s degree in political management from George Washington University and my bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University Channel Islands.
