Played a pivotal leadership role in launching this privately held analytical laboratory startup. The company was in the process of being sold to a PE-backed national laboratory. Led integration activities, assimilating cultures and reporting processes. Overseeing all finance and accounting functions, I optimize projections, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, insurance, auditing, treasury, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). I perform thorough due diligence for corporate acquisition, supervise the work of outside legal, tax, and accounting firms, and coordinate benefit programs. While maximizing cash flow, I prioritize growth and operational excellence.DELIVERED RESULTS:► Positioning CDX Analytics for sale to a private equity firm. ► Growing the company from $0 to $7M, and to 54 employees. ► Empowering the company to uphold its #1 market position as the statewide competition grew from 2 labs to 8+.► Forming advantageous partnerships with reputable banks and payroll companies in a highly regulated environment. ► Successfully guiding the company through multiple provider transitions due to shifting industry dynamics.► Significantly improving reporting systems and financial decision-making by introducing metrics, dashboards, and accounting controls. ► Quickly achieving profitability and doubling lab capacity twice. Developing contractor budgets and collecting quotes. Determining personnel and equipment capacity. Sourcing the initial equipment provider, Thermo Fisher Scientific. ► Optimizing the deal flow by compiling a list of 400+ potential acquisition targets, building a database and performing market research.► Partnering with the COO to effectively manage the entire staff and foster productive culture, running the Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources (HR) departments in the CEO’s absence.
