I'm an aspiring character animator who was born, raised, and received education in northern England. I attended Workington Academy for my GCSEs and A Levels, and then moved further south to Lancashire to study animation at Edge Hill University.For a lot of my life, my passion has been video games. I was entranced by them growing up which has developed into a deep appreciation for the media form. Alongside attending university, a lot of my social skills were developed from the more community related aspects of video games, and a lot of the friends I have now are people I have met from online play.Because of this, I began to value social interaction much more than I did previously. As a teenager, I drew a lot of my entertainment from a small group of people and spent a lot of my time by myself. Nowadays, instead of shying away from people I have never met before, I strive to develop strong groundwork for a working relationship, whether that relationship be friendly or professional.I started engaging in animation at around the age of 14, due to an online competition titled "The Saxxy Awards" for Source Filmmaker animators, and since then it has developed from a hobby to a career aspiration. I firmly believe in the idea that animation can evoke powerful emotions just as well as any other form of media, and would love to be able to achieve that with my work.Besides video games and animation, I have plenty of other interests that I engage in. With life beginning to open up after university, I am looking to improve on my eating and exercise habits to maintain a healthier lifestyle, and would love to explore cooking as a hobby. I am also learning Norwegian as it is a country I plan to visit often in the future.
