With over 17 years of experience in intellectual property law, I am a partner at K&L Gates, a global law firm with a strong reputation in technology and innovation. I am also a certified legal project manager, which enables me to deliver efficient, effective, and high-quality services to my clients.In my current role, I serve a global client base, serving as a strategic advisor to clients throughout the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. I have worked with many of the world’s leading research institutions and universities as well as companies in the software, manufacturing, medical device, gaming device, food science, automotive, consumer electronics, and electrical hardware spaces, among others. I have extensive experience in global patent prosecution and portfolio management, freedom to operate and opinion work, patent litigation, licensing, and transactions. I use my skills in litigation, intellectual property, and legal writing to craft persuasive arguments, draft clear and concise documents, and negotiate favorable outcomes for my clients.My background prior to my professional career was in the performing arts, growing up playing the guitar, cello, bass, and violin, among other instruments. I played cello classically in youth symphonies and was fortunate enough to play guitar at some of the world's premier jazz festivals. I was also active in dance, theater, and vocals. I am also an avid hiker and traveler. I welcome any opportunity to climb mountains for my clients both figuratively and literally.
