Managed the infrastructure in corporation of 25,000+ employees. Leading responsibility was to administer and maintain the Denver/Boulder branch and data center along with production customer facing solutions/servers. In VMware this required designing and maintaining virtualization farm configuration for High Availability and future infrastructure growth, scripting deployments of new servers and ownership of configuration for the VMware stacks. In SCOM and SCVVM this was orchestrating and monitoring servers as well as deploying solutions in Hyper-V. Assisted converting Boulder branch over to Lync 2013 for Unified Communications eliminating the need for landlines and PBX's. In 2004, co-founded NerdE-Solutions to improve upon the Geeks on Call model of on-site computer services. Main responsibility was the tech of last resort for other technicians and/or difficult problems and customers. I developed and explored better techniques to enable our techs to fix just about any computer in any situation without the need of another computer on-site. Educated and trained junior technicians how to remove virus/spyware without needing to reload the OS. Built and maintained servers and client computers in homes, home office and businesses. Established proposals for future work, documented disaster recovery plans for clients and streamlined tech hiring process. Also, provided hosted Exchange email and BlackBerry Enterprise (BES) services. Setup numerous firewall (Juniper, Sonicwall) with VPN solutions for multi-location offices. Finally, provided remote support to customers when it made sense (LogMeIn Rescue, Teamviewer, Bomgar). Personally responded to 1,100 service calls for businesses and homes in last two years and converted many to service agreements. Wrote scheduling software to help schedulers be more efficient when booking calls.
