Product Owner and Implementer for the MAM systems in both London and Burbank, I oversee the onboarding of clients into our Business Systems, as well as design and manage one-off projects to enhance Visual Data's business offerings and streamline internal processes.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, my primary focus at present is to research and develop new systems, help on-board clients, as well as provide training and documentation across all parts of the business. Other responsibilities include: - Research and Develop into new technologies available on the market. - Work with the Head of Technology to plan technical equipment and acquisition. - Help the Operations Managers to identify any cross-training requirements and opportunities within the teams to better serve the company’s capacity requirements. - Help to develop unified procedures and protocols around metadata entry across the business in line with industry/client expectations and best practices.

Over the course of two years my role changed from managing a small team of 4 digital operators and DVD authors, to supporting the Head of Digital in the day-to-day running of the Digital Department (consisting of 16 members of staff, working across three digital disciplines). During this time my responsibilities included: - Creating job specifications and interviewing applicants. - Annual leave - ensuring that daily operational coverage as well as long term projects were not compromised. - Yearly one to one appraisals, including SMART objectives. - Disciplinary procedures. - Planning and implementing short term shift rotas. - Training staff across the company, including mentoring other members of the Digital team with regards to the management of their directs. I worked closely with the Technology Team in developing new production work flows, and represented the company at various national and international trade shows.While fulfilling a management / supervisory position, I continued to work as a Digital Operator, setting up profiles on our production transcoders (including Rhozet ProMedia Carbon and Telestream Flip Factory) and delivering content to major VOD platforms.

As the lead Blu-ray Author / Compressionist, I was involved in the product evaluation process, internal training / briefing sessions and initial client meetings, whilst also working on day-to-day complex DVD Authoring projects. During this period I was tasked with developing transcoder profiles for the company's initial deliveries of tapeless content to broadcasters.With my background as a DVD Production Manager, I was asked to project manage a select group of Film, TV and Music clients.I was a member of the internal Technical Working Group, investigating and implementing new work flows and technologies for the future of the group.

As well as handling the majority of the day-to-day authoring and compression for DVD projects for Film, TV and most major multi-national companies, I also plan, schedule and delegate authoring and compression work to the other DVD Author / Compressionists.
