As a previous inside sales intern at Mettler-Toledo AutoChem, I provided B2B application consulting for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, commodity/specialty chemical, academia, and CDMO companies. In this role, I built and developed initial customer relationships through LinkedIn mining, followed up and qualified new prospects from demand generation activities, conducted market research to identify new growth opportunities, generated leads through micro-campaigns, generated leads through cold sales calls & warm sales calls, and attended weekly business development & sales meetings.In my senior year at UMD, I participated in the Capstone Design Competition by creating a syringe-based attachment to neonatal bag mask ventilators to reduce the risk of barotrauma and pneumothorax. The attachment directly controlled the volume of air delivered to the lungs by depressing a plunger upon compressing the self-inflating bag. The plunger had adjustable stops designed to allow physicians to control the volume of air delivered.In 2020, I interned at the National Institute of Standards and Technology as part of the Functional Polymers Group. In this role, I utilized a machine learning toolbox with training data derived from density functional theory for data analysis, mining, and modeling to discover new task-specific fluorescent molecules (mechanophores). Throughout this role, I learned the laboratory methods of filtration, crystallization, centrifugation, distillation, DFT, Raman spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, NMR, FTIR, and FLIM fluorescent lifetime imaging.
