This project used tabulated data containing 13 columns and 512 rows where each row represented the median house and suburb information for a suburb in Boston. The other capstone project was using logistic regression to predict which applicants would receive approval for a mortgage loan from a bank. This project used 14 columns of tabulated data with 600 rows each row representing an applicant. Based on the information of the applicant as given by 13 columns, the 14th column (target variable) was predicted using a logistic regression algorithm. Temporary employment for a client of Kelly Services as a Lab Technician. Working under the supervision of an experienced technician. Daily objectives entailed testing for corrosion in oil and gas pipelines, metal ions using spectrometers and titrations, using dangerous solvents and sample preparation for autosampler operations. Other duties included calibration of instruments, safety checks and maintenance of a clean and organised working environment.

After deciding to travel to Australia, I decided to take up a part time job working as a liquor store cashier downtown Calgary to save up travel money. This role involved till operation and liquor store maintenance. Theft prevention was very demanding since there was quite a few incidence in this high crime location. I also got the opportunity to educate myself attending liquor tasting functions. It was a great low-responsibility job where I could make new friends.
