With five direct reports I and my team are responsible for those Real Estate Clients who’s property portfolio includes assets/properties situated throughout Europe (including UK).This role requires that I:provide support to Account Advocate, Directors and Executivesprovide a point of liaison between London Broking Team and client account teammaintain verbal and written communication with clients/managing agents and insurers at all stages of insurance programme placementobtain, collate and verify exposure information and produce high quality, accurate, renewal presentations within timescales as agreed with Account Executivesupport Account Executive in determining appropriate programme structuring and pricingnegotiate placement, renewal and amendments to cover where requiredproduce placing documentation (slips/MRC), certificates and insurance programme registersensure compliance with appropriate internal and external procedures and compliance regulationsliaise with clients, colleagues, insurers and others where appropriate to respond to client queriesprovide technical expertise to colleaguesWhilst I am directly responsible for advising and negotiating on “general” insurance placements (Property, Liabilities, UK Employers Liability, UK Motor Fleet etc), I also provided support to the Account Executive as a central point of contact for co-ordination of specialist class of insurance may include D&O, Crime, Employment Practices Liability, Terrorism, Contractors All Risks, Marine Cargo etc.In addition to the above Client Service activities my position as a Team Leader/Line Manager with 5 direct reports means I am also responsible for; the undertaking of annual appraisals and periodic performance reviewsmonitoring of workloads and account allocation within the teamthe arranging of appropriate training to better equip my direct reports to undertake the activities required of themensuring that all necessary compulsory training etc is undertaken

This position consisted of two separate but complimentary roles, that of a central point of referral in respect of the coordination of international programmes plus Client Service Executive for a specific number of global FTSE 100 clients.The role as International Specialist evolved as a result of my experience on numerous global accounts where I was responsible for negotiating programme structure with insurers and co-ordination of our overseas offices i.e. directing upto 90 Network offices/territories on their roles and responsibilities and ensuring that all parties understand and deliver the necessary documentation and service required by our client’s both from a global and local perspective.In my role as a “Client Service Executive” my client’s were large multinational businesses with complex insurance programmes (premium spend ranging from GBP1m to GBP20m).

My main duties related to providing a service to our commercial clients for whom various classes of insurance covers are arranged with premiums ranging from GBP100 through to GBP100k. I also assisted with basic surveys, discussed risk improvements, negotiated renewals (both with clients and insurers) and acted as a credit controller, ensuring premiums were settled within agreed time scales.

Employed as a Motor and Personal Lines Underwriter, my role involved providing support to the senior Underwriter and expertise to my colleagues whilst also dealing with the day to day servicing of Motor and Personal Lines (private car, motorcycle, commercial vehicle, household, travel, personal accident etc.) new and existing business.I was responsible for providing initial quotations, policy issuance, mid term alterations and preparation of renewal terms and documentation whilst maintaining contact with brokers and policyholders.Following a request to further my career I was offered, and accepted, the role of Commercial Lines Underwriter where I dealt with a wide range of commercial lines insurance contracts including;Motor TradeEmployers LiabilityPublic & Products LiabilityFire & PerilsTheftBusiness InterruptionAll RisksMoneyContractors All RisksGoods in TransitMotor FleetEngineering Inspection

Employed as a member of the processing team involved in the issuing and maintenance of both Motor & Household Insurance, I was promoted to the position of Underwriter (Motor & Personal Lines) where my duties involved provision of technical knowledge to internal staff, brokers and the general public/policyholders.At my request I was given the opportunity to work as a claims negotiator. Here my duties involved the day to day servicing and investigation of both Motor and Personal Lines claims including;the application of policy wording to determine coverliaison with claims controllers, loss adjusters and engineers whenever necessary to bring claims to a satisfactory conclusion.
