About Matthew Bennett

My ProfileI began my recruitment career in Sydney in 1994, focusing on professional and executive roles in both corporate and banking industry sectors. Over the last 20 years with Robert Walters in Hong Kong, I helped start five new specialised divisions such as contracting, legal, human resources, sales and marketing as well as supply chain, logistics and procurement and Robert Walters has now been established as the preeminent recruitment brand in Hong Kong. In 2007, I took over the management of the Hong Kong office and expanded the remit to include Taiwan and Thailand in 2011. In January 2013, I was appointed as Managing Director for Greater China to manage the Robert Walters business across the region. Returning to Sydney in 2021 for family reasons, I have now taken up the CEO role of Profusion which is Australia's largest specialist executive search, permanent, temporary and contract recruitment firm for the Financial Services sector.
