Managing the pruning operations for about 580ha for various citrus types (lemons, Clementines, Navels, Valencias, Orri, Tango and Nadorcott Mandarins). This includes the recruitment, training, monitoring and administration of about 90 in-house pruners and orchard inspections for about 50 contracted pruners.Conducting orchard visits to monitor pest, nutrient and irrigation status. Assisting in the preparation of documents for DALRRD orchard verifications, GGAP and SIZA. Fruit sizing and crop estimation. Coordination of orchard PQIs. Collection of soil samples. Ad hoc duties such as ordering of chemicals, formulating orchard replacement plans, standing-in for farm managers on leave, climate and pest reports (compile a weekly summary of pest-threshold exceedances, pest-trap readings and climatic conditions past and forecast).
