- Independently handle large volume of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including multi-unit and mixed-use properties, condominium conversions, office buildings and restaurant/retail spaces, commercial condominiums, 1031 exchanges- Negotiate, draft, and/or redline sophisticated real estate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, security instruments, other documents ancillary to sale of real property (i.e. assignments, escrow and leaseback agreements, LLC operating agreements)- Review and analyze matters of title, survey, zoning, structure of property ownership, property tax liability, due diligence matters- Manage diverse portfolio of general commercial, construction (mechanic’s lien), and real estate litigation at both trial and appellate levels, including covering daily court appearances and first-chairing bench trials, evidentiary hearings, and depositions- Research and draft high-level legal memoranda in trial and appellate forums on wide range of sophisticated legal issues

- Represent clients in all manner of residential and commercial real estate transactions, from contract to closing.- Handle complex commercial and construction litigation, and other civil cases, including taking depositions, appearing regularly in court hearings, and negotiating settlement agreements.

- Litigated all aspects of employment discrimination matters under Title VII, FMLA, IHRA and related legislation in state and federal forums, including the Northern District of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Human Rights.- Second-chaired federal employment discrimination jury trial to successful verdict.

- Drawing from significant experience practicing criminal defense law, taught undergraduate courses in both criminal justice and the legal environment generally; with DeVry's curriculum as a foundation, developed unique in-class lectures and emphasized student participation through collaborative activities of my own design.

- Defended DUI and traffic offenses, securing dozens of favorable results through motion practice and effective negotiation with Assistant State's Attorneys. - Represented individuals and families in all stages of mortgage foreclosure litigation, from initial filing of complaint to post-foreclosure Forcible Entry and Detainer proceedings; appeared in the circuit courts of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Will, and Lake counties daily.
