I am currently working as a Freelance Publishing Assistant for the Physics centered YouTube channel Veritasium, as a part of Electrify Video Partners. I obtained an MSci in Theoretical Physics from the Univeristy of Bristol and I want to pursue roles that involve using my degree in some way, particularly roles in scientific video publishing. My project involved studying the chiral breaking of Hamiltonian symmetries by employing complex mathematical methods. This included solving high-order differential equations with matrices and programming a working model in Python. The project addressed the motion of non-symmetric chiral systems with focus predominantly on the rattleback toy. For this project I wrote a comprehensive literature review, a 6500 word thesis and gave a presentation with an open Q\&A to my peers. My journey into content creation began as a Social Media Content Creator for the gap year programme "Italian for a while". Here I directed, filmed and oversaw the editing of engaging videos to reach potential customers on Instagram and TikTok, collaborated with Italian language influencers and pitched them video ideas. These responsibilities helped develop skills in adapting content for different platforms and audiences.Furthermore, my skills in speaking to experts originally began when I worked as a Business Development Executive selling professional indemnity insurance as a part of the new business team. At this job, I spent a lot of time on the phone with established architects, engineers, accountants and other modern professionals.My love for educational and entertaining content extends beyond just the realm of physics and mathematics. I have watched a lot of TED-Ed, Tom Scott and of course Veritasium, especially their content revolving around niche interests but one of my favourite YouTube channels is Great Art Explained and after watching him over the past 2 years he inspired me to buy a national art pass. More recently, I have begun watching videos on ancient history from channels such as HistoryMarche and Kings and Generals. These examples are just a small subset of the amount of YouTube content I watch and I love working in this industry.
