• Responsible for product development, prototyping, pre-production planning, production line setup, and production of automotive aftermarket LED products.• Designs ranged from modified OEM parts, LED replacement bulbs, LED headlamps, LED projectors and LED lightbars designed for motorsport use. • Only mechanical engineer in a very small company. Leveraged many skill sets to accomplish goals on an extremely tight deadline to get products to market.• Invested in learning new skills quickly to better products, such as learning how to design optical and thermal systems for better lenses, reflectors, and thermal dissipation of heat generated from LEDs.• Responsible for team of summer interns in 3D scanning and reverse engineering OEM headlights for custom LED accents, as well as reverse engineering OEM sidemarkers to create LED replacements.

• Worked on the F-15 Nosebarrel Affordability IRAD re-design team, focusing on consolidating sheet metal in the upper structure of the Nosebarrel. • Developed a tracking database for the start of 2D-to-3D conversion of the F-15 Forward Fuselage. Trained co-workers across various sites on how to interpret 2D drawings, model to 3D part standards, track parts in the database, and release reference models. • Created new canopy sill longeron 3D model for F-15C retrofit proposal. Presented to satisfied USAF customer and acted as a point of contact. • Coordinated with Fatigue and Strength to quickly design and release a repair for damaged USAF F-15C and F-15D aircraft.• Worked closely with USAF customer to verify spare canopies for F-15E; providing technical support and acting as a design point of contact, visited Warner Robins AFB to confirm tooling with customer.• Traveled internationally to support Forward Fuselage production, investigating and completing non-conformance reports (NCRs) and rejection reports (RRs).• Designed innovative upgrade proposal to F-15 Silent Eagle in collaboration with Radar Cross Signature and Thermodynamic Analysis groups. • Provided technical support to full-scale fatigue test of the F-15 aircraft.• Aided Phantom Works in a modeling effort for a proprietary program. • Worked with Crew Station, Hydraulics, and Electrical groups in retrofitting older F-15E aircraft structure with the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System for Suite 8 Upgrades.

• Participated in the detailed design and manufacture of five high-speed roller coasters.• Produced, checked, and revised machine/assembly drawings using Solidworks and AutoCAD.• Created 3D models of parts and assemblies (including a complete steel roller coaster support system) in Solidworks to check for interferences and fit.• Coordinated with consultants, vendors, and clients to keep projects on track and on schedule.• Prepared and presented several preliminary and final design reviews with clients.
