Staff Supervision, Client relations and Project management. Clients included companies and organisations such as BMA, Shell, Caltex, Mackay Regional Council, Thiess, Sucrogen, and Xstarta. My duties included but are not limited to electrical design, installations, maintenance, breakdowns, project management, tenders, switchboard manufacturing, estimating.One of my favorite project completions was the Dumbleton weir pump station upgrade - The weir supplies 90% of the Mackay city water. The water is pumped to the Nebo Road treatment plant that is capable of supplying about 75M/LT a day. My role as electrical supervisor was to oversee the completion of all electrical tasks associated with the project in the allocated time and cost. I worked on site and managed a small team of workers made up of electricians, apprentices and trade assistants for a period of 8 months. My duties on site involve completion of all safety documentation, JSEA, work plans, scheduling, test documentation (QA), ordering of all electrical equipment, design relating to cable installation such as cable support systems, distribution boards, instrumentation marshalling panels, local control stations, PLC panels, and equipment. I can happily say this challenging project finished with in our allocated time and budget despite the hurdles that come with the territory of project work.
