I am still doing my previous role full time but with the additional responsibilities of a Guild Leader also. With this I am responsible for the management, mentoring, team building and development of a small team of engineers. A core goal for this role is trying to share skills amongst the SRE engineers to better equip them to do more aspects of each project straying away from individual engineers having specialist skill sets.

I was promoted to a second line Analyst specialising in Managed service. This means providing remote technical support and ensuring that SLA's are consistently complied with. Furthermore this means handling escalations where necessary ensuring the issue is resolved quickly with constant communication with customer is kept until resolution. As we supply a 24/7 service I have had experience for 2 years of doing shift work throughout my time at PCMS being earlies to core hours to overnight's.

Following on from my apprenticeship I was offered a full time position as a first line advisor. This was a continuation of the role I was doing as an apprenticeship with additional responsibilities. During this time outside of the practical I.C.T that I learn't during my apprenticeship I also learn't a lot of managed service skills and began excelling in the role.

Straight out of college I began an apprenticeship with PCMS. The duration of this apprenticeship was a year and during this time I achieved a certification for ITIL level 3 and learn't a lot of new essential skills In ICT. Whilst I completed my apprenticeship with JBC I also had peer to peer training in customer services at PCMS learning there expectations and the in's and outs of the job. After doing some training I was the doing the role solely until the completion of my apprenticeship.
