The Regional President of Michigan Region in BBYO is a pivotal leader responsible for ensuring the growth and strength of the region. This role involves empowering chapter presidents, leading the Regional Board, and representing BBYO within the state of Michigan/Windsor, Canada and the International Order. Key duties include attending national conferences, supporting movement-wide programs, and fostering strong relationships with chapter leaders and board members. The president organizes regular meetings with both chapter and board leaders, oversees regional events and elections, and provides strategic guidance to ensure all leaders meet their goals and responsibilities. Overall, the Regional President aims to build a cohesive, dynamic regional community within BBYO.

The Chapter President is responsible for overseeing and leading all chapter activities, including managing the chapter exec board, assisting chapter officers in achieving their goals, representing the chapter to the region, conducting meetings, and maintaining regular communication with advisors. They also preside over elections, ensure member well-being, facilitate discussions, organize trainings and retreats, promote strong attendance at meetings and programs, provide a chapter calendar to BBYO Staff, collaborate with Regional Presidents and BBYO Staff, create a welcoming and safe environment for all members, and report any issues to the appropriate authorities.

The Vice President of Programming oversees all chapter programming, promotes and submits Regional/International Awards, assumes the President’s responsibilities when needed, leads or supervises relevant committees, and conducts chapter exec board meetings. They ensure high-quality programming by planning programs well in advance, communicating details to relevant parties, filling out program planning forms as needed, and evaluating programs afterward. Additionally, they maintain regular communication and meetings with the Chapter President, Regional Presidents of Programming, Advisor(s), and BBYO Staff to ensure smooth operations and effective coordination of activities.

The Vice President of Jewish Enrichment is responsible for planning and executing a variety of programming including Judaic, Community Service, and Social Action initiatives, participating in regional and international events such as Global Shabbat, selecting and promoting a Stand UP cause for the chapter, coordinating Shabbat services and programming, educating the chapter on Jewish customs and holidays, enforcing Shabbat and Kashrut policies, promoting Israel travel opportunities, coordinating community service efforts, and maintaining regular communication with chapter leadership, advisors, and BBYO Staff while planning and documenting programs in advance.

Judges gameplay during sporting events to award points and decide results. Observes gameplay closely, makes calls based on the application of game rules, and assesses any required penalties according to established regulations. Ensures teams follow all safety regulations.
