As the Associate Director of Maintenance and Operations, I plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of the Maintenance and Operations Division at Shippensburg University. Our main goal is to provide quality customer service to all members of the campus community regarding building operation, maintenance, repair, and alterations of 2.4 million square feet of building space and envelopes, and utilities infrastructure. I am the University point of contact for all mechanical systems issues including heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, chilled water plant operation, wastewater and steam production and distribution. I manage the daily activities of 8 direct, and 30 indirect reports, and make decisions relating to budgets and routine operations, and oversee work order management, hiring, and staff scheduling.

As the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, I am responsible for the safety of all students, faculty, staff, and contractors on the Shippensburg University campus. I am a safety professional possessing the experience and academic qualifications to administer comprehensive safety and job-related programs. I regularly act as liaison between all campus departments on all safety and security issues. I perform various safety trainings to University employees and studentsas required by regulations.

Write, update as necessary, and implement Environmental and Safety policies and procedures related to energy utility for both construction and general industry. Oversee Hazardous Waste and Environmental Permitting Programs company-wide. Administer Respiratory Protection, Asbestos, and Lead Programs for company. Update and report on changes to SPCC program company-wide. Perform Industrial Hygiene sampling as needed including interpretation of data and final report writing. Investigate injuries and illnesses, and motor vehicle accidents to determine recordability and/or preventability. Develop and present employee trainings on environmental and safety regulations.

Developed and implemented Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures for General Industry and Construction for clients in manufacturing, utility, healthcare, and higher education fields. Provided extensive written and verbal skills relating to the identification, evaluation, and control of hazards in the workplace. Performed Industrial Hygiene, Noise, and Environmental sampling in accordance with OSHA, NIOSH, and ACGIH methodologies. Presented trainings to client staffregarding environmental and safety procedures relating to industrial manufacturing lines and process management. Provided guidance, recommendations, and permitting assistance with U.S. EPA regulations including, but not limited to, RCRA, EPCRA, TSCA, CWA, and CAA. Worked closely under the direction of a Corporate Certified Industrial Hygienist to review, analyze, andinterpret findings, prior to comprehensive report writing.
