I am an international arbitrator and counsel. My practice focuses on international commercial disputes related to natural resources, particularly alternative energy, oil, gas and water, finance, private equity, telecommunications, IP and licensing, commodities and transportation. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. I am ranked Band 2 in Chambers USA 2023 as a leading international arbitrator. I am a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.I regularly appear as counsel in international arbitrations under the rules of most major arbitral institutions, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations under UNCITRAL Rules. I act for U.S. and international clients across a variety of industries, including energy, telecommunications, construction, pharmaceuticals, commodities and transportation. I also have significant experience representing financial services and private equity firms in arbitration. I routinely serve as an arbitrator in international and domestic commercial arbitrations -- including as an emergency and sole arbitrator -- administered by the ICDR, ICC and AAA. I serve as Co-Chair of the ABA's Section on Environment, Energy and Resources' ADR Committee, and on the ICC Task Force on Arbitration of Climate Change Related Disputes. I am a member of the Users Council of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). In my water practice, I act for commercial parties and states in the U.S. Supreme Court in interstate water resources disputes.
