About Matthew Dunk
Led Dyson's Test Systems Team, who design special purpose automated machines and equipment to facilitate development testing of Dyson's current and future product portfolio.Prior to this I spent four years at Renishaw, first as a Design Group Lead, leading a team in optimising the design of the OSP60 Sprint 3D Scanning Probe for producibility, reliability and cost, and later as Test and Applications Development Manager, testing laser tool setting systems and developing new applications for these.I joined Renishaw in 2018, after spending nine years at Rolls-Royce Defence Aerospace, based in Filton. After completing Rolls-Royce's Professional Excellence graduate scheme, I spent two years in System Design and Integration as point of contact for the US Navy on their T45 Adour engine programme.Later I moved into an analysis role in Thermal and Fluid Systems, becoming a subject matter expert. I was seconded to Bangalore, India for six months to form and lead a new Thermal and Fluids Team at a brand new engineering site. After six months the team was up-and-running and trusted to take on and deliver work to the other more established engineering sites around the globe, and I proudly handed over control to a newly-promoted member of the existing team.On my return to the UK I acted as Technical Lead for the Thermal and Fluid Systems Team on the TP400 engine (A400M application) whilst also running the systems engineering and design activities for a new fluid system for a future combat aircraft engine. My final role at Rolls-Royce was as Assistant Chief Design Engineer on legacy Transport and Helicopter engines, turning customer requirements into design and analysis tasks by negotiating support from functional resources. This included leading modifications to support safety, reliability, cost-of-ownership and obsolescence.
Listed skills include Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering Management, Project Management, and 16 others.
