I have over 10 years of experience in managing a Forensic Audio Laboratory, developing processes and metrics to manage performance, prioritise and delegate work based on risk, resources and service level agreements. I am passionate about improving service continuously, incorporating new ideas and ways of working to support and develop staff. I have designed bespoke training packages and implemented competency frameworks to monitor and improve performance and reduce organisational risk. I am also an experienced Audio Forensic Practitioner and have an excellent understanding of ACPO guidelines for digital evidence. I have 10 years of experience of acquiring and processing both analogue and digital exhibits for Judicial proceedings utilising forensic software such as EnCase and FTK Imager to acquire digital. I sit on a national body for audio processing standards and I hold the position of technical assessor for UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) assessing ISO 17025 laboratories. I am dedicated to improving quality in the Criminal Justice System and have written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), working instructions, validated equipment, orchestrated Inter-lab comparisons, developed peer assessments and been involved in audits. Additionally, I am a qualified Dyslexia Assessor, this role requires me to assess the needs of an individual and provide reasonable adjustments to support them in the workplace.
